Lumatek ballasts are quite simply the best HID ballasts available today. While running cooler and quieter than conventional magnetic ballasts, Lumatek ballasts still cause HID bulbs to burn brighter - up to 20% brighter even than competing brands of electronic ballasts. Best of all, Lumatek ballasts significantly extend the life of HID bulbs, making them burn brightly up to 50% longer, which means big savings over time. Lumatek ballasts will now fire on 120 or 240 volt circuits and will fire both MH and HPS bulbs. Many lumatek ballasts now come with a Super Lumens Switch which allows you to control your light output depending on your specific needs; in addition to letting you dim your lights the new Super Lumens feature allows you to boost your light output up to 10% by simply turning a nob. External breaker system protects against power surges, and there is no longer a need to replace fuses in the ballast; just reset the ballast with the conveniently placed breaker button.
